I was awakened by a deluge of rain on the roof while sunlight was creeping around the blinds.  Waddup widdat?  Well, there was cloud cover (just over my house?) but sun seen around the perimeter.  There was, however, more cloud cover and more rain on the way.

Later,  after the rain but while it was still threatening, it was an excellent time to (as Thoreau urged)  walk about, not to and fro.  Here’s Bob’s boat, hoping to get out again in the fall.

Then there’s old Sultan, up on blocks for years, now, probably anxious to get out there but, sadly, not going to make it.

The clouds, broken here and there, making for great reflections.

My Knockout Roses after the rain.  A pleasure to see them since almost a year ago they were under four feet of salt water.

Thanks Ralph………we’re out in Vancouver helping Jeff & Susie get settled and it sure brought a smile to all of us to see that beautiful picture that we wake up to each morning, and pictures of Nick’s was a bonus!

Thank you, Ralph. I especially like the composition of “The Empty Chair”. Nice work!
We’ll be down for the week tomorrow. Want a boat ride for some pictures?

LOVE the first image! The low horizon and wonderful clouds make the picture. I like the bait boxes second.

    • Ralph Berglund Says:

Thanks, D. I love capital letters LOVE. The first image seems to be well liked just as I liked the scene. I thought you’d be partial to “Bait Boxes,” and others have been as well.

    • Ralph Berglund Says:

Thanks, Gene Ann. I was pleased when I was composing it. The whole exercise–walking down there with my camera–was on a whim–shows you never know what you’re going to see, especially in interesting light.

  14. Stokes Carrigan Says:

I will take these pictures with me to Australia and show them to my friends in the ‘bush.’ They are as remote from the ocean as we are as close to it here. We leave right after Thanksgiving.

  15. Pat Worley Says:

Lovely, Ralph. Like they say bad weather makes great photographs!
