These are beach and ocean images which you can enjoy with some related background music. Be sure your speaker volume is turned up and click on the arrow below-left. Then relax and scroll through the images with the accompaniment of Debussy’s Sirenes from his Nocturnes suite, (the sea’s sirens), a treat for two of your senses.
Or if you wish you can listen to a narration of John Masefield’s poem, “I Must Go Down To The Sea Again.

Ralph, these are excellent. Did you take them all on LBI? Number 3 doesn’t look like LBI or I just haven’t been around enough.
July 17, 2009 at 7:52 am
Thanks, John. Yes, image 3 was taken on Barbados a couple of years ago as was image 2. All else is LBI except 14 and 22 in Cape May although one really couldn’t spot that as the beaches are alike. Same, actually for 2, that sunset on Barbados.

Inspired pictures of scenes I love the most…the beach and ocean at sunrise and as well as happy children at play on nature’s best surface! Thank you. Marilyn

They are gorgeous, Ralph. I can almost feel the wind and the spray. And the music is a perfect accompaniment. My favorites were the seagulls and the mossy pilings, the children in the water, and the sunset views. Thank you so much for keeping us on your email list.

This reminds me of your passion and talent, how you strive for excellence even within the love of a hobby. The music exquisite, and I seemed to of been lucky to scroll as it matched specific pictures with great emotional power. Beautiful Dad. Just a breathtaking experience.

Ralph, these are beautiful! And here I sit on my parents’ porch, maybe 100 yards from the ocean. Oh, how we Jersey kids take all this beauty for granted! Aren’t we lucky?
Thank you.

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I guess that it’s also my favorite place although I enjoy all beautiful places. But when one is almost born on the beach and grows up there it’s bound to have a lasting impact. I had a close friend who was a psychoanalyst and he once suggested to me that the sea makes us think we’re back in the sloshing waters of the womb.
